This evening I ventured out to Proud Camden to see some amazing acts do there thing!!! on stage. A beautiful melody, waves through the atmosphere as the (live) band whips up a Jazz! rhythm. (hate to be bias n' all) but there is just something about that acoustic sound which just does the trick. A creative idea has just been liberated!!- I must!! create a contemporary collection influenced by the lifestyle of Jazzzzz. What does this metaphor mean to you?
I just keep missing my chance to take a shot of this metaphor stamped on the front of this pub in New Cross. By the time I'm rummaging through my bag to find my camera (which i've left on my dresser again...smh) the train has moved off, (thanks to google) I managed to find it!!!
'Take Courage' What a powerful metaphor. I do ask myself, why don't we (society) take chances anymore? Take chances in what life has to offer us...
Everyday we have a chance to pour greatness into someone's life, (it doesn't have to be money all the time) whether it be a kind word, a hug or even a smile. We have so much access to change another's opportunity (ies). Building new solid friendships, supporting others, teaching learnt skills to another, taking a chance with love & trust, freedom to visit countries & learn new cultures...Why do we always have our [safe mode button] switched on? The safe mode button of 'I aint getting rejected'...'I just can't be asked'. Come on!!!
There is so much potential in us (You!! & Me!!) to do great things for our society...are nation (This lifetime).
There is sooooo much out there to learn. An adventure waiting to be seen.

'STIR UP THE GIFTS'
'STIR UP THE GIFTS'
A comforting awakening to Empowered Woman's Session, followed by a meet up with an old college friend, followed by seeing my very cheeky and clever niece, followed by P4L (whoop), followed by a quick happy (1 minute) dance routine, followed by a quick catch up about some design developments, then ending the night completing this Blog piece...
My day started this morning at 1am. I laid in my comfy bed, peeling the nail varnish off my nails while doubting whether the vision given to me by my mate 'J' would be manageable and whether this blog (which was also a vision given by my other friend 'H.S' would uplift those who encountered this blog.
Anyhow, 'H.S' whispers Matthew 5 into my ears. For the rest of the night the feeling of doubt is rewarded with promises, reassurance and encouragement.
To all of you who may be thinking what the pickle is going on with Kerryn/Kenz. You see guys (readers) its been a very challenging time, well season, as I begin to prepare into my Devine Purpose. It's been and still is very NERVE RACKING time for me as I have no clue whats going to happen... I'm not saying that I don't believe i'm truly protected; I just can't help but question whether i'm capable...
Since I've enrolled on the Empowered Woman Mentoring Course my life (worldly ambitions) have been replaced with ambitions of my (Devine Purpose). I feel honoured by the gift of grace and humbled to see the chains wrapped around me fall to the ground. I'm FREE!!
I now walk in the season of preparation, and begin to utilise my gifts and talents installed within. I have specially titled this season 'STIR UP THE GIFTS' as I need my gifts to help me fulfil my purpose.
I really would like to thank Jackie, my mentor (the founder of EW http://thementoringacademy.com/) and the eight Empowered Women who I hold hands with, as we walk through this journey together to find our Purposes, (excuse me) Devine Purposes. You women have really uplifted me and constantly sharpened my confidence. You are truly special, unique and valued in my heart. I hope I have been a true asset in your lives.
So I conclude as I learnt today that my area of mentoring will be working along side the youth (to be specific) the CREATIVE YOUTH. I'm excited so excited
I wait for wisdom and guidance as I begin to prepare...

Today has been so rewarding, so much excitement and inspiration. A visit to Top Drawer SS12 trade show (thanks Aggz your superly dupa). So exciting to see new innovated products!!! So much inspiration from Greeting Cards, Art work, Contemporary Jewellery, Watches, Gadgets, Toys, Colour-ways, Patterns, Textures and shapes. I must say I saw a lot of bright Olympic colours and a more simplicity approach with the products. Modern, clean lines (layers cut finishes) shapes. Theres no time for fussy products. Modernity is most definitely taking a stroll in 2012 ;) |
